cd #1 – the carmen sandiego game is very fun. excellent questions that really stimulate learning and challenges. covers a variety of different subjects so it never gets boring. when there are too many wrong answers in a certain skill, the game goes back to that specific skill to drill the player until the player improves. it allows for more than one player so my son and i played against each other. (of course i let him beat me to answer to get him to do the questions.)
cd #2 – the zoombinis (i think that’s what it’s called) game is also a very fun game. this game is mainly about problem solving. it’s a series of puzzles (greatly varied) that slowly get more challenging. the only change i would make is to have more control on the level of difficulty. it became a little too difficult, too quickly for my son. a bit frustrating for him.
cd #3 – pretty much a waste. yukon trail is a very boring game. we went through it once and never looked at it again.
2 out of 3 games is not too shabby. a very important thing to note is that it takes a pretty powerful computer to use the carmen sandiego game. i couldn’t use it on my home pc or work laptop, the game would just freeze up – so we had to go use it at my sister’s. if your computer isn’t very powerful, don’t buy it. but as long as you have a powerful computer you won’t have this problem.

This game entertains all of my kids from age 3 to 12. Also, like all Arthur stories, the kids learn a good moral lesson through playing the game.
